New for Summer 2009

This summer Zurakowski Park will see the addition of a gazebo, new story boards and a couple of smaller aircraft models. Funds for this project are in hand, and it is hoped to have construction finished by the end of the summer

These additions will make the park more than just a celebration of the achievements of Janusz Zurakowski, it will also be a community gathering place where people can hear music, view artworks, watch films (an outdoor movie projector and screen are planned) or simply seek some relaxing shelter from the sun or rain.

As committee chair Jackie Dorman Recoskie says, “It will be open to community events; anything involving the community.”
